Week 15 IDP Waiver Wire: Pickups & Targets (Fantasy Football 2022)
For most leagues, the fantasy playoffs begin this week. If you made it, congratulations on surviving. It's all about surviving and advancing now. Thankfully, the bye weeks are over, but Commissioner Goodell hasn't turned off the injuries. That's what I loved about Madden Football - you could turn off the injuries. If you're still dealing with injuries, and aren't we all, here are IDP targets for the Week 15 waiver wire.
Linebacker
Monty Rice, LB, Tennessee Titans
So, last week, I recommended Dylan Cole. The world of IDP can be fickle. In the words of Sonny Weaver, Jr. from Draft Day, “We live in a different world than we did just 30 seconds ago.” In this case, a week ago. Although Monty Rice played fewer snaps, he showed a bit more.
Rice has appeared in nine games and up until last week, had not appeared in more than 54% of the snaps. Rice has been ultra-efficient with his snaps, however. Snaps have opened up in Tennessee’s defense with David Long being placed on IR.
Rice was on the field for 71% of the snaps (51 total) against the Jaguars and made a case for more usage, as he was Tennessee's third-highest-graded player according to PFF. He had a few issues in coverage but overall, played a solid game, especially against the run. On this tackle, he slides underneath the block to get to Travis Etienne for no gain:
Rice finished with 12 tackles (7 solos) on his way to a 23.5% tackle rate and 0.37 fantasy points per snap. Over the last two weeks, he’s produced a 27.7% tackle rate and has just two missed tackles over 149 defensive snaps. Rice is on the IDP radar as an LB3 with his tackle upside.
