Week 17 Busts: 4 Players to Avoid
We finally made it to Week 17. Injuries have riddled most of our rosters, and if you’re anything like me, you had to learn who some of the players you started were after the fact. But you made it to the fantasy championship, nonetheless. So, as you’re setting your roster for the last time, I’ve got four potential players to avoid (or workaround) for the last game of the fantasy season.
Running Back
Josh Jacobs (Raiders) vs. 49ers
If a matchup against the 49ers (12.6 aFPA, 1st) wasn’t bad enough, the Raiders have benched their starting quarterback, adding more uncertainty to their offense. Congrats if you survived last week’s six-point dud from Jacobs, but it’s hard to see how it gets better in Week 17.
Caleb Huntley, third-stringer for Atlanta, currently holds the record for the most rushing yards against San Francisco this season. He totaled 59 yards. And that was back in Week 6. Since then, Brian Robinson Jr. and Rachaad White are the only rushers to come close to breaking Huntley’s record. Plus, the 49ers have only allowed two touchdowns on the ground over the same span.
Vegas’s team total is down to 17.75 after the Carr news, and they’re eight-point home underdogs. Hopefully, you have other options as the Raiders' offense takes a look at their quarterback room before the season ends.
