2023 Fantasy Football IDP Rankings Breakdown: Defensive Back
My 2023 IDP rankings have been released, so that means fantasy football season is here. For some, it never really left. The NFL Draft is long gone and OTAs are beginning. So, it’s “overreacting to players in shorts making plays against air” season!!
Rankings are great, but I like breaking them down into tiers. Ranks can be a bit subjective and can vary, but with tiers, you can get an idea of the guys you like and target a particular tier. I’ll also identify some of my favorite targets within each tier.

Defensive back is deep and one of the more volatile positions in IDP. There are a few elite options, however, it’s not necessary to overspend on the position, as surprises always emerge throughout the season. Did anyone have Jalen Pitre as the DB1 last season? I like to look through the second and third tiers.
