The NFL has fined Washington Redskins defensive end Jeremy Jarmon $5,000 for a helmet to helmet hit on Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers in last Sunday's game.
Jarmon rushed the quarterback in overtime on the Packers' final offensive play. Jarmon got his hands up and Rodgers had to rush his throw, which was eventually intercepted by LaRon Landry. Jarmon was not flagged on the play, but a review showed that as Jarmon came down, his helmet made contact with Rodgers' and the league office felt a fine was in order.
Rodgers suffered a mild concussion on the play.
There was originally some fears that the concussion would keep Rodgers out of action this week, but he appears good to go and should fare well against Miami.
