Fantasy Football Defense Streaming Week 5: Finding Sacks on the Waiver Wire
We’ve all been there. You’re sitting in your draft, and someone reaches for a defense way too early. Defenses are notoriously tricky to project year-over-year. Some of the best fantasy defenses of the last decade have turned in performances where they benefited from turnover luck one year and ran dry the next. When drafting, I treat the D/ST spot on my roster as a revolving door, and I’m specifically drafting for Week 1 or the first few weeks of the season.
As we work our way through the season, this article will serve as a place to identify streaming options. The only criterion is that the teams we discuss are rostered in less than 40% of leagues on Yahoo or ESPN.

Week 4 Recap
In Week 4, we went with Tampa Bay, Cincinnati, and the Los Angeles Rams. The Bengals and Rams didn’t perform particularly well, but our top pick made up for that. We made up some ground this week with Tampa Bay showing up in a big way. They were able to recover a couple of fumbles, got to the quarterback three times, and added an interception for good measure. They scored 15 against New Orleans, bringing our streaming options up to D/ST16 (up from 24th) on the season.
