Fantasy Football Defense Streaming Week 12: Choose Your Own Adventure

We’ve all been there. You’re sitting in your draft, and someone reaches for a defense way too early. Defenses are notoriously tricky to project year-over-year. Some of the best fantasy defenses of the last decade have turned in performances where they benefited from turnover luck one year and ran dry the next. When drafting, I treat the D/ST spot on my roster as a revolving door, and I’m specifically drafting for Week 1 or the first few weeks of the season.

As we work our way through the season, this article will serve as a place to identify streaming options. The only criterion is that the teams we discuss are rostered in less than 40% of leagues on Yahoo or ESPN.

Week 11 Recap

If you were only given the information that Tommy DeVito threw for three touchdowns, no interceptions, and the Giants upset the Commanders, you might think that their D/ST was a bad play. You'd be wrong. DeVito took a whopping nine sacks as Washington rode their defensive line to a D/ST6 finish. The Jaguars finished at D/ST12 with two sacks and two fumble recoveries, so we did get a bit lucky there. The Vikings were the disappointing pick this past week, but they were last on the list, so hopefully you were able to grab one of our higher-priority targets.
