Fantasy Football Defense Streaming Week 16: Bear Down

We’ve all been there. You’re sitting in your draft, and someone reaches for a defense way too early. Defenses are notoriously tricky to project year-over-year. Some of the best fantasy defenses of the last decade have turned in performances where they benefited from turnover luck one year and ran dry the next. When drafting, I treat the D/ST spot on my roster as a revolving door, and I’m specifically drafting for Week 1 or the first few weeks of the season.

As we work our way through the season, this article will serve as a place to identify streaming options. The only criterion is that the teams we discuss are rostered in less than 40% of leagues on Yahoo or ESPN.

Week 15 Recap

Before we get into the recap of last week, congratulations are in order if you're still reading this! This likely means you're heading into the semi-finals of your league and are hopefully getting ready to hoist the trophy in a couple of weeks.

Our top option last week was the Los Angeles Rams. They finished in the middle third of D/STs at D/ST19. They only managed one sack and one interception on the day. The Colts were our second option, and they finished the week at D/ST4. Indianapolis filled up the stat sheet with four sacks, two interceptions, and a fumble recovery, which was good for 14 points. That's approximately 35 times more fantasy points than Bijan Robinson scored this week.
