Fantasy Football Week 5 Good Vibes, Bad Vibes (Who Should I Start)
So far through the first four weeks, there are some teams with vibes we never saw coming. In the AFC, the Dolphins and Bengals are 1-3. Miami has scored the least amount of points in the entire NFL (45) while the Steelers have stunned with a 3-1 record atop the AFC North.
Meanwhile, the Commanders are tops in the NFC East at 3-1 thanks to franchise QB vibes from rookie Jayden Daniels, while Seattle is a surprise leader in the West, also at 3-1. When rookie QB J.J. McCarthy was sidelined before we even began, a 4-0 start for the Vikings was not something anticipated, but Sam Darnold has let the ghost vibes go and is dealing that football.
Bye weeks are starting for us in the fantasy realm and real life too, but for the purposes of this column, I’m going to see what the vibes are looking like for fantasy lineups in Week 5.
Good Vibes
Quarterbacks
Jordan Love @ Rams
In his return after a few weeks absence, Jordan Love threw for 389 yards and four touchdowns in a loss to the Vikings, most of which came during some juicy trash time. He should keep those productive vibes rolling into this week as the Rams are yielding the second most schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed (aFPA) to enemy QBs this season (20.5). Also, this contest boasts a meaty over/under of 48.5 adding to Love’s appeal as a starter.
