Michigan Live: With Daunte Culpepper (shoulder) missing his second
straight day of practice, Lions coach Rod Marinelli said today
that Dan Orlovsky would start against the Colts on Sunday.
Orlovsky, who has missed the last 5 weeks with a broken right
thumb, said his thumb is feeling fine and shouldn't be an issue
during the game. Orlovsky was very upset at some of his throws
during individual drills today but said that wasn't because of his
thumb, but because of his setup on a certain route. Drew Stanton
will be Orlovsky's backup and Marinelli said that if Orlovsky is
ineffective or aggravates his thumb injury, he wouldn't hesitate
going to Stanton.
