Panthers plan to open the 21-day window for RB Jonathon Brooks to return, per Dave Canales.

Fantasy Impact:

The Panthers have been pretty careful with Brooks who was supposed to be ready in camp with an ACL injury from college. The open window doesn't mean Brooks is a lock to play this week, and even if he does, he probably wouldn't be a safe fantasy play right out of the gate. There isn't a lot of need to rush him with the play of Hubbard, however the team likely wants to see what they have in Brooks, and at some point this year, Brooks will probably cut into Hubbard's fantasy value.

Coach Dennis Allen announces that Rashid Shaheed will undergo surgery on his meniscus, and during the surgery, it will be determined if he has the full repair or the trim.

The full repair would mean his season is over.

Fantasy Impact:

Miserable news for a player who had been contributing in many aspects, including special teams. Spencer Rattler's skill position group is being sniped by injuries, which makes the entire team a strong fade for fantasy purposes.

Things are trending in the wrong direction for the Saints this week, with a number of impactful injuries looking to sap their offense. Mean is fine as a desperation Flex, but don't expect too much.

It shouldn't take much time for Adams to get heavily involved in the offensive gameplan, with literally hundreds of targets from Aaron Rodgers on his resume. Though this is a tough matchup against the Steelers' defense, targets should be funneled to Adams and Wilson from the get-go. Put both of them in WR2 consideration this week.
