Fantasy Football Quarterback Streaming Week 8: Nix Stands Out Against the Panthers
Week 7 wasn’t great for quarterbacks in fantasy. Only three players threw for at least 300. There were just nine players who threw for at least 250 yards. There were 10 quarterbacks who threw multiple touchdown passes, with only three of those players throwing more than two touchdown passes.
Week 8 brings a bit of a respite for fantasy managers as there will be no teams on a bye week. That also leaves us with more streaming options to consider.
For streaming purposes, 4for4’s Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) is a metric we rely heavily on to determine weekly matchup strength. As the season progresses and more data is available, aFPA becomes more and more reliable, using rolling 10-week data. Targets and efficiency metrics are also considered when choosing weekly streamers.

Week 7 Recap
Drake Maye was our biggest hit of Week 7, finishing as QB6. The Patriots were beaten soundly by the Jaguars, but Maye threw for 276 yards and two touchdowns. After being picked off two times in his first career start two weeks ago, he did not turn the ball over against the Jaguars.
In terms of the biggest flop last week, that dubious honor goes to Andy Dalton. The Panthers were smoked by the Commanders, which eventually resulted in Dalton being pulled from the game. He only attempted 16 passes, finishing with 93 passing yards, no touchdown, and two interceptions.

Bo Nix (Broncos) vs. Panthers
The Broncos dismantled the Saints on Thursday Night Football, scoring 33 points in their victory. Despite them putting so many points on the board, Nix threw for just 164 yards and did not record a touchdown pass. However, he did help salvage his stat line by rushing 10 times for 75 yards.
Nix has shown an ability to do damage with his legs, posting three games with at least 47 rushing yards. He also has three rushing touchdowns. The Broncos shouldn’t have problems putting points on the board against the Panthers, who have allowed an average of 34.7 points per game. They also rank 30th in aFPA to quarterbacks. The stars could be aligning for Nix to have one of his better stat lines of the season.
