DraftKings & FanDuel NFL DFS Week 9 Tournament Strategy & Picks
This is a game-by-game breakdown of the Week 9 slate, looking at implied team totals and usage patterns for each team and suggesting players to target for DraftKings and FanDuel tournaments. Cash game plays will be in a separate article.
We’ll start with the Cheat Sheet, which lists a suggested player pool depending on how many lineups you intend to play.
Tournament Targets are players to target in smaller-field contests or if you are playing 20 or fewer lineups in large-field guaranteed prize pool (GPP) tournaments.
Tournament Mass Multi-Entry (MME) Plays are players to add to your player pool if you play more than 20 entries.
Schedule-Adjusted PPR Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) rankings for the opposing defense are provided for each offensive position on each team to give context to the matchup. If a defense is ranked #1 against opposing quarterbacks, they have been the best at stopping quarterbacks from scoring fantasy points. Thus, in evaluating matchups for offensive players, larger numbers (worse rankings) are better. Of course, even adjusting for schedules, these are all based on small sample sizes.
