Fantasy Football Quarterback Streaming Week 17: Forever Young

Quarterback Streaming Week 17

There were just five quarterbacks who threw for at least 300 yards during Week 16. However, there were 16 quarterbacks who had at least two touchdown passes. Jayden Daniels led the way with five touchdown passes in a comeback victory over the Eagles.

Week 17 has arrived, meaning it’s time to bring home some fantasy football championships. Finding the right streaming quarterback could be the difference.

For streaming purposes, 4for4’s Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) is a metric we rely heavily on to determine weekly matchup strength. As the season progresses and more data is available, aFPA becomes more and more reliable, using rolling 10-week data. Targets and efficiency metrics are also considered when choosing weekly streamers.

To provide advice you can implement, candidates for streaming must be rostered in no more than 40% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues.

Week 16 Recap

Drake Maye was the top performer among our streaming options for last week, finishing as QB16. He threw for 261 yards against the Bills, which was his third-most in a game this season. He also produced just his fourth game with at least two touchdown passes.

One of the bigger disappointments among the streamers last week was Aaron Rodgers, who finished as QB22. While he attempted 42 passes and completed 66.7% of them, he finished with a modest 256 passing yards and one touchdown. He didn’t throw an interception for the third straight game, but he did lose a fumble. The Jets scored just nine points against the Rams.

Bryce Young (Panthers) at Buccaneers

The Panthers pulled off an upset over the Cardinals during Week 16, winning in overtime. Young only threw for 158 yards, but that wasn’t the story. He had two touchdown passes, while also rushing for 68 yards and a touchdown. That was just his second game of the season with more than one touchdown pass. He is still looking for his first game of the season with at least 300 passing yards.

Young has been able to make up for his lackluster passing numbers because he has a rushing touchdown in three of his last four games. Week 17 brings a great matchup against the Buccaneers, who rank 32nd in aFPA to quarterbacks. Last week, they allowed Cooper Rush to complete 74.3% of his passes and throw for 292 yards. Young has come a long way since earlier in the season and this matchup should help him continue to provide added production.
