Week 17 IDP Matchups to Exploit & Streaming Options
If you're reading this in Week 17, it's very likely that you've made it to the championship round of your fantasy league. Congratulations! You absolutely love to see it! I'm going to do my part here to make sure you finish the job.
In this space, the weekly targets will range from individual players and positional groups to entire defensive units. IDP leagues are like snowflakes, so if you have specific questions, jump into our subscriber Discord, find the IDP channel, and tag me with any questions you have. Some of you play in leagues where all of these players are already owned, and some of you play in IDP leagues where only 3-4 players are rostered on each team, so the players listed below might not even be on your radar, so don't be afraid to reach out. Also, don't forget to check out the Waiver Wire column and IDP Rankings as well.
Sometimes, I'll reference a player who's nearly universally rostered across all IDP leagues, but perhaps that'll help you with a potential start/sit decision you were wrestling with. Those decisions are magnified at this point of the season, so we want to use all the information possible to get them right.
The Waiver Wire column should help as well, but I want to use this space weekly to highlight some of the best matchup spots on the slate, along with any corresponding defenders who are in line to benefit.

Week 17 IDP Matchups To Exploit
Seattle Seahawks Pass Rush
With Will Levis sent to the bench, Bears rookie Caleb Williams is now the prime target for sacks, leading the league with a 28.4% pressure-to-sack rate. Look for head coach Mike Macdonald and this Seahawks' defense to confuse Williams enough to get home a few times, bringing multiple Seattle defensive linemen into play this week.
Leonard Williams is your best bet if a defensive tackle is required in your league, while EDGE rushers Boye Mafe and Uchenna Nwosu are your best bets against the Bears' offensive tackles. Really deep leagues could also consider Jarran Reed, Byron Murphy, and Derick Hall if you're desperate for a sack.
Daiyan Henley, LB, Los Angeles Chargers
I was bullish on Daiyan Henley as a prospect out of Washington State, but his rookie year was cut short before it started due to injury. This season, Henley's exceeded the loftiest of expectations.
Through 16 weeks, Henley ranks fourth in the league in total tackles despite being in a three-man rotation for parts of the season. Henley's posted 10 or more tackles in eight of the past nine weeks, and this week, he gets one of the best matchups possible.
Opposing linebackers are averaging 19.8 combined tackles per game against the Patriots, the highest total in the league. A whopping 31.1% of all the tackles against New England have come from linebackers, comfortably the highest rate in the NFL. The scorekeeper in Foxboro is also one of our favorites, handing out assisted tackles at the fourth-highest rate in the league (52.69%) over the past two seasons.
