Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan says Donovan McNabb is doing better but is "by no means full speed yet" because of sore hamstrings.
McNabb stayed after practice for extra work Wednesday as he prepares for Monday night's game against Philadelphia. It will be his first game since he was benched in the final minutes of a loss to Detroit.
Shanahan cited the ailing hamstrings as one of the reasons he benched McNabb. The coach said the Redskins had not practiced the two-minute offense for five weeks before the Detroit game because McNabb was too sore.
