Browns Coach Eric Mangini said he's optimistic Josh Cribbs (dislocated toes) and Sheldon Brown (shoulder) will practice later in the week. He acknowledged that losing both was a blow.
He cited all off the things lost with Cribbs, including the return game, the wildcat and a lot of other offensive plays.
"I thought he was having a pretty good day," Mangini said. "He caught that 37-yarder on the shallow cross, and he gets a lot of attention when he's in, so he takes pressure off other people. You take him out of the mix and there's a whole range of options that they don't have to defend as intensely or as closely."
