With the additions of Dowdle and Etienne (fourth round), this was a distinct possibility, and now the move has been made quite early in the post-Draft season. Brooks will be a tough gamble for 2026, but here's hoping for a full recovery for the young back.

The Eagles and TE Dallas Goedert have agreed to a reworked deal for this season, as Jeff McLane stated. The team had trade offers for Goedert during the draft. He was in the loop. Decided to remain with the team and selflessly restructured to try running it back.

As Garafolo touches on, it seemed like a draft-day trade was very much on the table, but once the smoke cleared, it seemed obvious that the vet would remain on the team for at least one more year. Goedert should once again be considered a touchdown-dependent low-end TE1 on a great offense.
