Houston Texans outside linebacker Zac Diles will not play against the New York Jets Sunday at New Meadowlands Stadium.
Diles was unable to practice last week and was sent to the hospital. He was diagnosed with dizziness and heart palpitations. Doctors got it under control, and he's expected back next week when the Texans host Tennessee.
Diles, who is second on the team with 71 tackles, including 52 unassisted, will be replaced by rookie Darryl Sharpton, a fourth-round pick who has excelled on special teams.
Xavier Adibi, who has spent a lot of time on the sideline recently with a hamstring injury, will back up Sharpton.
Sharpton, 5-11, 248, is second on the team in special teams tackles.
