The Giants are now without both of their starting wide receivers with the Hakeem Nicks injury. Fourth-year pro Steve Smith is still dealing with a partially torn pectoral muscle.
Backup WR Mario Manningham will continue to start until Smith is able to return to the lineup. WR Derek Hagan, who signed with the team last Tuesday, will likely start opposite Manningham. Undrafted rookie Duke Calhoun will temporarily handle the No. 3 role.
The team has worked out nine receivers this season. Veteran WR Kevin Curtis worked out for the team last week.
Hagan already has a TD pass to his credit, catching one last week against the Eagles. Hagan could put up decent enough WR3 numbers if you're scrambling for WR help this week.
