Cowboys receivers coach Ray Sherman thinks all the talk about rookie receiver Dez Bryant’s sideline antics and emotional outbursts against the Saints are much ado about nothing.
Sherman said Bryant is a emotional player but he is not out of control. And he was not a distraction to his teammates against the Saints. He said there is nothing wrong with Bryant’s emotions or his play.
“Dez is fine,” Sherman said. “He is an emotional player. I like guys who are passionate. I don’t have a problem with a guy showing passion. I have had a lot of guys with passion. Trust me you put the ball in their hands they can do something with it.”
Sherman’s resume includes tutoring the likes of Jerry Rice, Chris Carter, Randy Moss and Terrell Owens. He said he doesn’t have a problem with working with guys who are emotional and passionate.
“You have know how to work with guys like that,” Sherman said. “What’s wrong with being passionate. That doesn’t bother me. I don’t have a problem with guys like that.”
