Zach Miller's been battling a foot injury and now a deep contusion on his leg, and the Raiders' tight end had to watch most of last week's 33-17 loss to Miami from the sideline. A lot of starters were standing next to him, as Oakland's offense is having a hard time staying on the field without him.

The Raiders, held to 11 first downs, ran only 45 plays, and the Dolphins held the ball for nearly 42 minutes.

Miller, who had only three catches for 15 yards the last two weeks, still leads the team with 37 catches for 476 yards. But he may be even more important to the running game than he is the passing game.

"Zach, he's a great asset to the team," running back Darren McFadden said. "He takes a lot of pressure off us. Guys have to look out for him so, you know, you can't just load the box up and say they're going to commit to stopping the run because he's a threat with the passing game."
