The Indianapolis Colts anticipate the return of receiver Austin Collie for their critical AFC South match-up with Jacksonville Sunday in Lucas Oil Stadium.
“He looks good,’’ coach Jim Caldwell said today. “It looks like he’s going to be able to play.’’
Collie has missed four of the past five games after suffering a concussion Nov. 7 at Philadelphia. After the Eagles game, he missed one game and returned Nov. 21 at New England. Collie left that game after experiencing concussion-like symptoms and has missed the past three games.
Collie had seen limited work in practice before going through a full workout on Wednesday.
Before being injured, Collie was one of the league’s most productive receivers. He has 50 receptions for 562 yards and a team-high six touchdowns.
It's a nice matchup against the Jags too. Blair White will lose value, of course, as Collie slides back into the Colts WR3 role.
