One is a future Hall of Famer, the other a budding star.
Tennessee Titans wide receivers Randy Moss and Kenny Britt rarely got on the field together last week, however, and it doesn't look like they will be paired over the last three weeks of the season either.
When Britt returned to action last week against the Colts, Moss was relegated to the bench for the most part. The 13th-year pro has just five catches for 62 yards in five games with the Titans.
Moss and Britt both play the "X" receiver position, the one that splits out wide, opposite the tight end. The "Y" lines up on the same side as the tight end and — most often — the slot or "Z" receiver.
Britt was the starting "X" against the Colts, Nate Washington kept his spot as the "Y" and Justin Gage was used most frequently at the "Z."
Moss arrived in Nashville with a reputation as a talented malcontent, but he seems to accept a reduced role with the Titans.
