Dallas Cowboys interim coach Jason Garrett won't rule out Tony Romo returning this season despite owner Jerry Jones expressing pessimism the starting quarterback will be back.
Romo has missed the past eight games with a fractured left clavicle. Since his injury, the Cowboys have held out hope Romo would be healthy enough by this week to return to practice. But Jones said Sunday that Romo is "a little behind" in his rehab and "not ready to play."
Garrett wouldn't go that far, though it appears unlikely Romo will return.
"We'll see how he does [today]; we'll see how he feels," Garrett said Monday.
