Browns Joshua Cribbs is trying to push through. If only he could push off.
Cribbs was on the verge of helping the Browns to a thrilling year when he galloped toward the goal line on a catch and run. As he came down at the 5-yard line after a 37-yard game, he dislocated some toes, effectively dislocating the Browns’ season.
More than a month later, Cribbs said he still has moments of “excruciating pain.”
He missed just one game and has played in the last four, never looking remotely like the dynamo who has gone to two Pro Bowls.
“Sometimes,” he said, “I think I’m 100 percent. Then I’ll make a move and it’ll remind me, no, you can’t do that.”
