The potential for Peyton Hillis to wear down because of his increased workload has been a hot topic as of late. Do the Browns need to develop a productive backup running back? Mike Bell has compiled 19 carries for 30 yards (1.6 average) since joining the Browns in Week 6 after he was traded from the Philadelphia Eagles.
''I think what you'd like to be able to do is have two or three backs where you could interchange them all the time,'' Mangini said. ''You could play them in all different spots. Mike Bell's done a good job when he's been called on. It's just that Peyton has had such a good season and provides so much to our offense. It's hard to make the case to take him off the field.''
