Clevelandbrowns.com: The Browns returned to the practice field
Thursday without five injured players. Missing practice Thursday
were: RB Jerome Harrison (ribs), DE Louis Leonard (toe), DT Shaun
Smith (calf), DE Corey Williams (shoulder) and TE Kellen Winslow
(ankle). Browns coach Romeo Crennel said Winslow is hoping the
ankle will improve to the point that he can play again this
season, but it's too early to tell if he'll be able to do so.
Crennel said the following players were expected to participate
Thursday on a limited basis: RB Charles Ali (ribs), LB Beau Bell
(knee), WR Joshua Cribbs (back), LB Shantee Orr (knee) and DT
Shaun Rogers (shoulder). Rex Hadnot (knee) was also listed as a
limited participant Thursday afternoon. The Browns were off
Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday is their first practice for Monday
night's game in Philadelphia. "I wanted to give that extra day off
so the guys could heal and get their bodies back," Crennel said.
"With the extra day and the Monday night game we really haven't
lost any preparation time."
