Packers defensive end Cullen Jenkins didn’t think he’d play as many snaps as he did in his first action since injuring his calf against San Francisco Dec. 5.

But necessity dictated otherwise.

The Eagles had the ball for 60 snaps on offense and with quarterback Michael Vick keeping plays alive and the defense fighting for its life, Jenkins had to suck it up. On the final series, his calf started to cramp up and when he came to the sideline, defensive line coach Mike Trgovac refused to let him go back in.

“I was getting a little fatigued and I had to be a little cautious,” Jenkins said. “When they got that big play (28-yard pass on the final drive), I could feel myself tightening.”

Jenkins finished the day with just one tackle.
