Josh McDaniels will be Sam Bradford's new mentor after all.
The Rams hired McDaniels as offensive coordinator, team and league sources told ESPN on Tuesday.
Earlier Tuesday, sources said a significant snag in negotiations between the Rams and McDaniels had led the team to broaden its search to include coaches with West Coast-system roots in which Bradford excelled during his rookie season.
McDaniels will replace Pat Shurmur, who was hired as head coach of the Cleveland Browns last week.
Josh McDaniels uniting with Sam Bradford could be a fantasy match made in heaven. Bradford completed an impressive 60% of his passes for 18 TDs and over 3500 yards in his rookie campaign, while Josh McDaniels had Kyle Orton looking like a Pro Bowler before injuries slowed down his season. Expect the pass happy attack to continue in St. Louis, as the Rams look to add a big play receiver in the offseason.
