During his three-year career at Illinois, Lions RB Mikel LeShoure averaged 6.5 yards per carry and rushed for 1,697 yards last season. His role on the team will be as a change-of-pace back to Jahvid Best and to also handle the workload in situations -- four-minute offense (when the Lions are trying to kill the clock), short yardage and goal-line.
