Saints WRs Colston & Meachem underwent significant surgeries
New Orleans Saints receivers Marques Colston and Robert Meachem underwent significant surgeries following the 2010 season, but both of them are training at full speed and feel like they can be even stronger in 2011 than they were at any point last year.
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marques Colston (12) makes a catch as he is defended by Seattle Seahawks linebacker Aaron Curry (59) during the wild card playoff game between the New Orleans Saints and Seattle Seahawks.
Colston had a microfracture surgery to repair cartilage around his right kneecap - similar to the procedure he had performed on his left knee in 2009.
That year, Colston was back to 100 percent before the start of training camp, and he said he's even further ahead of schedule this time.
"I'm doing everything now. It's just about getting my conditioning back," said Colston, who has been working out with teammates at Tulane University and with local trainer Wyatt Harris at the Sonic Boom speed, conditioning and strength academy in Jefferson.
