John Beck — He is under contract for 2011 and availability may be just as important as ability in this situation. Beck’s extremely thin resume is both intriguing and a cause for concern. Since at least 1980, no player at his age (30) and with his lack of experience (five games, four starts) has ever broken out to become an effective starting quarterback. We may get a chance to see if Beck will turn out to be the first.

This puts Schoonmaker more or less in TE streaming consideration, but there are far better options this week, which puts him low on the totem pole.

Fantasy Impact:

It's a bit of a crapshoot as to who the "WR2" on the offense will be, but now that he's ruled out, Brown and Goedert should get a nice boost to their bottom line. That would lock Goedert into a no-doubt TE1 role in Week 12.
