Jason La Canfora is reporting that the Vikings and Redskins have the parameters of a deal in place to bring Donovan McNabb to Minnesota. The Vikings still have to work with McNabb to restructure his deal, which could be "tricky."
Update: La Canfora is now reporting that McNabb is expected to work out a deal with the Vikings on Wednesday.
Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin are floundering in the 5th/6th rounds due to the Vikings' QB situation, but acquiring McNabb (and re-signing Rice) would clear up those grey skies. If all three are in purple and gold in 2011, look for both Harvin and Rice to move solidly into the 5th round, or even a bit earlier. As for McNabb, he will be a mid- to low-end QB2 in most formats. His shaky play in 2010 is tough to forget, but he'll be playing behind a much better offensive line in Minnesota.
