As he was visiting with the Jets, former Baltimore Ravens tight end Todd Heap reached an agreement with the Arizona Cardinals on a two-year deal.
Fantasy Impact:
It's a homecoming for Heap, who played his college ball at Arizona State. He's the first capable receiver at tight end the Cardinals have had since Ken Whisenhunt took over as Arizona's head coach. Mostly, the Cardinals have used blockers at the position. While Heap is a little past his prime, the Cardinals have an unproven group of receivers behind Larry Fitzgerald. He could easily be Kevin Kolb's number two target, and the addition of Heap gives a slight boost to Kolb's stock.
