The Carolina Panthers will meet with free agent quarterback Derek Anderson on Monday.
Panthers general manager Marty Hurney confirmed there won't be a workout, but the team will sit down and meet with the 28-year-old journeyman quarterback.
Some on the staff already know him. The 6-foot-6, 235-pound Anderson has a history with Panthers offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski, who coached him to the Pro Bowl during the 2007 season with Cleveland Browns. Anderson threw for 3,787 yards and 29 touchdown passes that season.
Anderson won't be returning to the Pro Bowl anytime soon, and it's a mystery as to why anyone would be interested in him after he performed so poorly in Arizona last season.
