Running back Brandon Jacobs let the New York Giants restructure his contract so they could re-sign Ahmad Bradshaw. But while he's earning a smaller salary this season, he does want a bigger offensive role.

The Jacobs-Bradshaw tandem combined to rush for 2,058 yards last season, but Jacobs had just 147 carries. He'd like to touch the ball more often.

"The way I run, I could take the whole load, no question about it," he said. "But the way this league runs, you've got to have two backs. You've got to have two healthy backs in order to be able to win."

Jacobs said he would like to have "a lot of carries," ideally around 200. But winning trumps everything.

"At the end of the day, you could be rich as you want to be and not win games," he said. "That doesn't help you out."

Fantasy Impact:

Bradshaw will continue to have the largest role in the New York backfield, but with Jacobs having a nose for the end zone he'll remain a flex option in most fantasy leagues.
