RB Jason Snelling Stays in Atlanta

Running back Jason Snelling has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons.

After four productive seasons, Snelling has elected to return to the team that drafted him in the seventh-round out of Virginia in 2007.

Snelling, 27, has played in 51 games and rushed for 1,042 yards on 257 carries and scored seven touchdowns. He has caught 82 passes for 651 yards and four touchdowns.

He served as the Falcons’ primary back for half of the 2009 season as Michael Turner battled a high right-ankle sprain.

Fantasy Impact:

As long as Michael Turner stays healthy, Snelling doesn't have a lot of stand-alone value. However, he's proven he can be a decent fantasy player when Turner is out of the lineup. In terms of backup running backs for your squad, Snelling isn't a bad one to get, especially if you take Turner.
