Tight end Reggie Kelly has agreed to contract terms with the Falcons. Contract details weren’t immediately available.
Kelly, who entered the league with Atlanta as a 1999 second-round draft pick, is expected to play a backup role behind starter Tony Gonzalez. Justin Peele, who is Atlanta’s second-string tight end, is recovering from a knee injury.
Kelly, 34, has played the past eight seasons for Cincinnati. He worked out last week for Pittsburgh.
