Felix Jones has been impressive through the Cowboys' first two preseason games. And that's a good sign for a team that will use Jones as its featured back this season.
In terms of the shape he's in, it's evident that Jones prepared for that role during the off-season.
“Felix, of course is having, probably the best camp of any player," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones 105.3 The Fan Tuesday [KRLD-FM]. "It’s just good to see him get a chance to show what he’s got. I think the fact that he’s been given the starting job, the responsibility of the starting job, has probably had some impact on him. But Felix has frankly always been an outstanding offensive threat."
As a runner, receiver and pass blocker, the 5-10, 220-pounder seems to possess the total package.
