49ers RB Kendall Hunter, 5-foot-7 and 199 pounds, is a surprisingly powerful runner who can run capably between the tackles. In contrast to Dixon, he doesn't dance. He is decisive, one-cut-and-turn-on-the-jets back who, with his low center of gravity, can effectively squirt through cracks and, in one notable instance, upended a blitzing safety.
For all his hard running, though, Hunter did topple fairly easily on two of his runs -- both on tackles by Raiders linebacker Travis Goethel. Also, worth repeating: Richard Seymour and Tommy Kelly were on the sideline while Hunter lit up Oakland's backups.
