San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore reiterated his primary contract talking points Saturday night: He wants to stay in San Francisco and hopes to get a "fair" deal before the season opener.
But Gore's also acknowledged his unresolved contract status is weighing on him and said he wanted to be "treated right."
"I just hope everything gets taken care of so I can get my mind right, just ready to play ball," Gore said.
Is his mind right, Gore was asked?
"You know, I have my days," he said. "But once I touch the field, I don't think about it."
Gore didn't touch the field in the Niners' 30-7 loss to the Texans on Saturday.
San Francisco coach Jim Harbaugh said he told Gore earlier in the week that he wouldn't play in the game. Gore, who played in the first two preseason games, also plans to sit out of Monday's scheduled contract talks between the Niners and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus.
