Raiders OC Al Saunders had some very high praise for Darren McFadden.
"Darren's a very, very gifted player," Saunders said. "He demonstrated that last year. The thing that he has is such tremendous explosiveness. In the open field, gosh, there aren't many players that have that kind of explosive speed from a stop and a start. ... I think his potential is unlimited. I really do."
Saunders has been a conductor for some of the best offenses in NFL history, with running games and passing games working together like an orchestra. Faulk and Kansas City's Priest Holmes had prolific years under Saunders.
"A lot of times we had Marshall Faulk in St. Louis and our best runs are when we didn't block anybody and he made five guys miss and ran 60 yards down the field," Saunders said. "McFadden has that ability to do that. We're excited to watch him grow and develop for sure."
