In what will be considered troubling news to fantasy football players everywhere, the Denver Broncos have no set rotation at running back, where Knowshon Moreno and Willis McGahee will split the carries.
While McGahee is expected to get more work as the team approaches the opposing goal line, Denver offensive coordinator Mike McCoy said there is no formal plan other than the guy making the yardage will keep getting the carries.
"We're going to roll them," McCoy said. "They're going to play, and if one of them is tired, the other one is going in. Then we'll just keep them going. Both of them are going to play plenty of snaps, but we're not going to worry about counting snaps with them.
"If someone is in there playing and they're on a roll, then they're going to stay in. When they need to come out, then they're going to come out."
In the preseason, Moreno opened games, but McGahee led the team in touchdowns with two rushing and one receiving.
It almost seems like Mike Shanahan is still coaching the Broncos. The bottom line is Moreno remains the better bet for yardage, while McGahee should continue to offer more in the touchdown department. However, there may be days where the opposite happens.
