Miami RB Daniel Thomas became the team’s first running back to eclipse 100 yards since December 2009.

Thomas’ first game is particularly impressive, considering he did little during the preseason to heighten expectations for him.

Earlier in the week, coach Tony Sparano said he would like Bush to get 75 percent of the plays on offense — but once Thomas got hot, he started getting the majority of the touches. Whether that becomes a standard strategy will be worth monitoring.

Reggie Bush finished the game with 18 yards on six carries.

Fantasy Impact:

We all know by now that Reggie Bush may not be a 75%-of-the-work kind of back on a team that likes to run the ball. Thomas emerged from this game with some nice fantasy value, at least in certain matchups until we see him get these type of carries on a more consistent basis.

While Bush will still get his share of touches, especially in the passing game, Thomas is a guy to keep an eye on as someone who could get first and second down work.
