ESPN's Sal Paolantonio reports, citing league sources, the Philadelphia Eagles' quarterback Michael Vick "desperately wants to get back on the practice field as soon as possible -- that means Wednesday morning, when (offensive coordinator) Marty Mornhinweg installs the game plan against the Giants, whose dizzying array of blitz packages gave Vick fits last season.
But the Eagles, Sal says, don't want to rush Vick through the process required by the league to allow a player to return from a concussion. Vick has to pass all of his concussion tests, take an MRI and see the independent neurologist who has to approve his return -- a process that normally takes 3-5 days.
