For all practical purposes, James Starks is the Packers’ No. 1 running back even though Grant is technically the starter. Starks, the second-year pro, has been the team leader in carries and years in each of the first two games. Against the Panthers, he broke off the longest run of the season — a 40-yarder in the third quarter.

In two games, Starks has carried 21 times for 142 yards and his average of 6.8 yards per carry is second-best in the NFL among those ranked in the top 14 in rushing yardage through Sunday’s games.

Fantasy Impact:

Through two games, Starks has seen 54% of the carries (Grant 38%, Kuhn 8%) and 49% of the total touches (Grant 39%, Kuhn 12%). He's definitely the most viable fantasy RB in GB and is emerging as a solid RB3/flex option.
