Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin will miss his second straight game Sunday vs. Detroit because of a hamstring injury but he was tempted to play with the bye week coming up.

"I would like to be out there," Austin said, "but we’re just being pretty cautious about it and that way I’m full go for after."

The medical decision trumped the football decision to sit Austin for the Lions’ game even with the inconsistent performance of the wide receivers Monday against Washington.

If the Cowboys had a game Oct. 9, Austin said he would play.

Fantasy Impact:

It's been pretty common knowledge that Austin expects to return in week six. It's good to know he thinks he could play during week five, which is when Dallas is on bye. His owners certainly wish he was in their lineups right now, but can take comfort in the fact he'll be good to go again soon.
