Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall left Sunday's game against the Houston Texans with a hamstring injury, but it doesn't appear serious, a league source said on Monday.
The Steelers will see how much Mendenhall can do during practice, and he could be back as soon as this weekend for Pittsburgh's home game against the Tennessee Titans.
Mendenhall hasn't been the back we all expected, probably due to a struggling Steelers offensive line. An injury, even minor, certainly doesn't help much. But against the Titans and with Ben Roethlisberger possibly out, one would expect the Steelers to run the ball, even though it's not a great matchup. May be a good time to think about Isaac Redman as a backup.
