Mario Manningham isn’t frustrated with only grabbing one catch and seeing limited time against the Arizona Cardinals.
He’s merely frustrated with questions on that subject.
“We won. That’s all that matters,” the Giants’ wide receiver said today after practice. “We won.”
Manningham, who told reporters he’s still in his usual starting spot opposite Hakeem Nicks, has eight catches for 115 yards this season. But he’s not panicking because, through five games last season, he only had 14 receptions and one touchdown.
Manningham was apparently a bit prickly when answering questions about his workload against the Cardinals, but it's good to hear that he is still running with the first team in practice. If he gets starters' snaps and targets, it's only a matter of time before he busts out with a big game. Victor Cruz has won the WR3 job and is ready to step in if Manningham continues to struggle.
