Aside from a big game against the Browns on Oct. 2, when he scored on an 80-yard catch-and-run, Cook has been inconsistent. In four games he had two catches or less.

Palmer insisted he still has big plans for the third-year pro. Cook has 11 catches for 208 yards and leads the team in average yards per catch, thanks to the 80-yarder against the Browns.

“I am not disappointed in him at all,” Palmer said. “I’m actually pleased with what he is doing. I’m very pleased.”

Cook’s biggest issue, Palmer said, is the Titans have two veteran tight ends in Craig Stevens and Daniel Graham, and both are primarily blockers. So Cook is on the field for about a third of the offensive snaps.

“He is still making plays; he is still making catches, he is still doing things,” Palmer said. “I think when you say he is a tight end people think he is an every-down tight end. But he’s not.”

Fantasy Impact:

In the last two games, Cook is tied with WR Damian Williams with the most targets (15) for the Titans, so it appears that Matt Hasselbeck is growing more comfortable with him.
